Amina's Dance Instructors and Experience

Since 1995, I’ve been fortunate enough to have studied with many of the foremost instructors and bellydancers in the world, and to have performed and taught at many wonderful locations across the Twin Cities.

A listing of every single dancer and instructor I’ve learned from would fill volumes! The dancers and instructors who have had the greatest impact on my development as a bellydancer are Cassandra Shore, Chris Cherewan, Jawaahir Dance Company, Elena Lentini, Amel Tafsout, Suzanna DelVecchio, Momo Kadous, Ansuya, Nadia Hamdi, Margo Abdo O’Dell, and Morocco.

My teaching experience includes: guest instructor for the Cassandra School, guest instructor for the Ammala School of Middle Eastern Dance; instructor for Eden Prairie Community Education, Pratt (Minneapolis) Community Education, and Seven Bridges World Market beginning through advanced bellydance classes.

My performance experience includes: Pantages Theater, Monmouth Community College, Jawaahir Studios, and the Southern Theater with Jawaahir Dance Company; Jerusalem Middle Eastern Restaurant, Mediterranean Cruise Café Middle Eastern Restaurant, and El Bustan Middle Eastern Restaurant as a solo performer; Red Eye Theater, Old Arizona Theater, Intermedia Arts, and Theatre de la Jeune Lune as a member of Haneen Dance Ensemble; Minnesota Fringe Festival; St. Paul Festival of Nations, and the Minnesota Renaissance Festival as a member of different dance ensembles.
